Phillip Lim Size 2 Silk Gown Navy Ostrich Feather Trim Silver Studs Sleeveless

This amazing gown is by 3.1 Phillip Lim. It is a size 2 and made of 100% silk. It is navy blue and in very good condition, the only reason I did not put it in the excellent condition category is that it does not have original tags and has been worn probably once. NO visible wear. The top is tank style, sleeveless, and has silver studding around both arm holes. It has a round neckline and it zips down the back and has a zipper on the side too At the waistline, the fabric is ruched under the breasts to the right side. It is near the ruching that the ostrich feathers - also navy blue- are attached. They are in a single row that starts at the front and wraps all the way around the dress coming to a V in the back just below the hips and then continuing back to the front again. It is done beautifully. So the top is fitted as you get down to the hips the fabric is looser and lighter - almost ethereal and although not "flared" in typical fashion it is asymmetrical and has a bit of a handkerchief-like hem that has tons of movement and layering that is beautiful when in motion. So it definitely is looser and airier at the bottom. The hemline is rolled. This dress is amazing and truly a high-end design of the best quality.
