"Crescent" is ivory with a platinum crescent band on 1 edge. This was first produced in 1962 and is an active pattern. Pickard China Company was started in 1893 by Wilder Pickard. Hand-painted designs were used on a china purchased from other sources. Pickard developed a process to cover much or all of a piece with gold in 1911. The first was called the ‘Rose and Daisy’ pattern and continues to be popular. In the 1930s, the company began to make its own china wares in Chicago, Il. The company made a line of limited edition plates and bowls in the 70s-80s. Some wear. No chips or cracks. 8 1/4".
