Pink Polyester Handmade Day Dress Late 1960s/Early 1970s

An amazing late 60s polyester mod mini dress. Home sewn from a pattern, fitted at the waist with flare. The seams have a tiny amount of room to make adjustments but no major upsizing is possible. Darts at the bust are rolled--if refitted, there might be some minor color changes but I don't think this dress has been outside a closet much. Mock neckline, short sleeves and the mini dress flair make this a classic mid-mod shape. Would be super cute with a wide cinch belt and matching boots. Made from a nice thick but single-knit polyester. Measurements are lay flat unless otherwise stated. Waist: lay flat waist is 14”. The fabric has a little stretch but not much. Generous bust but a tiny waist. Pit to pit is 18” Shoulder seam to seam in back is 15” Neck seam to waist is 12” Waist inset is 3” Bottom of waist inset to hem is 34 1/2” Hem is 26” across Neck diameter is a loose 8” with the v neck Lay flat arm opening is 7 1/2” Sleeve length is 23” plus another 2” hem inside the cuff if they need to be longer The woman who wore this dress would have had a beehive or teased her hair high with a flip at the bottom. It is in mint condition. No stains, no rips, no tears, not even a loose thread. Looks barely worn. Please let me know if you need more photos, measurements or have questions!
