This Little Smocked Dress by Luli & Me is adorable. The soft pink cotton blend fabric skirt is slightly sheer creating a soft wispy effect over the top of the white liner. The rounded neck is trimmed in pink piping.The bodice is smocked in an accordion style smocking. Atop the smocking is a gorgeous embroidered lattice design done in two sizes. Within the smaller lattice design are pink and yellow embroidered flowers with green leaves and contrasting centers. The floral embroidery is done in three tear-drop shaped wreaths. Surrounding the smocked bodice are two layers of matching trim that is attached by hand faggoted stitching (a very high-end detail). To the side of the detail, ruffled flutter sleeves trim the arm openings. The same faggoted stitch detail is done across the front of the waist. Another special feature of this dress is the button back sash/belt. The double button sash adds a tailored look compared to the typical tie-back sash. The craftsmanship on this piece is extraordinary! I haven't seen another style with this design-just gorgeous!
