This is fully functional but also makes a stunning display piece or used as a vase. It can go in the dishwasher, but it is better to hand wash it. I would hand wash it. It can go in a microwave- but probably is too tall. It can go in the refrigerator & with its authentic stoneware thickness- it will hold the cold for a long time. Do not put it on a stove. Do not thermal shock it. Made by a university trained professional artist. Though this is not from their gallery & exhibition line of work, it does have a unique design technique that is copyrighted. The undulating front of the pitcher, textured effect. Its a delight to hold & a tricky thing to do to newly thrown clay. signed by the artist on the bottom. You cannot bundle it with anything else- to keep it safe in shipping. 8.5 inches tall, 7 inches at its widest- including the handle. It is designed for adult hands & can easily fit large male hands.
