I had 3 listings deleted & received a caution in regards to items that should not be sold on poshmark. I either get no reason or the reason is vague.
The 3 items are-
*used roller blade shoes
*vodka earrings
*Rock Rebel necklace - which one?
Rollerblades
No explanation why roller blades can’t be for sale. I have sold ice skates with no problem. Many people sell skates & roller blades here. I got the impression that it would be fine.
Vodka earrings
Explanation I received was there are so many of them for sale and they clutter Poshmark. Is that a logical explanation? I do not think so. Nor is the reason of so many of one particular item for sale is a good enough reason to delete a listing. The only reason a listing should be deleted is if it goes against Poshmark policy. If there is so many of one particular item, would that be a good thing anyways? This gives the buyer an option to choose the best price and who to purchase from.
⭐️Rock Rebel Necklace -???
I got the email. I have 2 available. they are authentic. Both are still available. I was told in an email that one of them was in violation but no reason why & no listing was deleted…strange.
⚠️A note to Poshmark staff in regards to possible listings to be deleted. Make sure the reason is justified and logical, especially that it matches to the policies. Be fair & do the same with other sellers. If other sellers have listed the same merchandise, delete theirs as well. Don’t single me out, please.

Poshmark - please also reply in an email as to why an item was deleted and make sure it matches the policy.

@disneygurl2u Thank you for posting this. I also had a pair of little girls roller derby roller skates removed from my sellers listing. I asked why and they said that those are not a supported item that is allowed to sell on Poshmark. They also said if they had been over the weight for a listing that they can not be sold. Well, they’re small and not even 5lbs in the box for shipping.
lilkarenbare30
@disneygurl2u This is frustrating because in the unsupported items listed, roller skates are not mentioned.. I can not find anything that prohibits those. I have seen many listings for roller skates rollerblades plus children’s, they have not been removed. Only very few have an mine included. So thank you for posting this listing I also am frustrated with this situation. I have listed them on other selling platforms that do not prohibit selling things like that.
disneygurl2u
@lilkarenbare30 thank you for your reply. Wow! It really does not make sense! If skates are under the weight limit, then why would it be prohibited? That does not make sense at all. And I totally agree, if skates are prohibited, then they should crack down on all the rest of the sellers that do! Also, I would hope their reason is logical but then, I do not see any logical reason to prohibit them. 🤷♀️
disneygurl2u
Even then, if the item is beyond the weight limit then an automatic extra fee would show up and would be taken out of the seller’s earnings so why would the weight issue then be a reason to delete a listing?!? That does not seem right. I wonder sometimes if some sellers are simply singled out. Although when I write to Poshmark, they tell me that is not the case..🤔
disneygurl2u
@lilkarenbare30 also check your profile when a listing is deleted on your closet. You may get a “caution” warning. I worry about those warnings and write to Poshmark right away. Of course their reason is never clearly explained but after writing poshmark, the “caution” warning goes away.
disneygurl2u
Ironically I am an ambassador 2, 5 star rating and lots of “love notes” but I have had 2 listings mysteriously deleted (without explanation, they are supposed to send you an email according to their policy but they do not!) and so therefore received the caution warning twice!! OMG! WTH?!?
disneygurl2u
@lilkarenbare30 I especially find the removal of my vodka earrings listing very strange and not justified, at all. I really think the reason had nothing at all to do with the item, but more likely the reason is perhaps personal. I have had some negative experiences with some people here and so have to wonder. But the whole issue was ridiculous!
disneygurl2u
@lilkarenbare30 by the way, perhaps you can recommend me of a site I can sell my rollerblades? It would be appreciated. 😊
lilkarenbare30
@disneygurl2u I completely understand. How frustrating! I do also sell on other places like 0fferUp and Mércári. 0fferUp you can list items and sell as pick up only so no one has to pay for shipping but I sell and ship out on both just to get a wider customer experience and options for shipping more sales out.
lilkarenbare30
I’ve even heard of more places to sell online but I’ve had luck with those and I don’t do Ébayy because they charge so much for sales. To me it’s not worth the trouble. Thank you for your replies and I wish you the best of luck on your sales!!
disneygurl2u
@lilkarenbare30 thanks for your response. I will check out offer up.
disneygurl2u
@lilkarenbare30 I have heard great things about Meri Curi. Poshmark let me write the names of other selling sites! 🤷♀️
disneygurl2u
@lilkarenbare30 good luck on your sales too! 🥰
disneygurl2u
Oops I meant that Poshmark does not let me write the names of other selling sites so I take the names apart.
dondi_davis
it happened to me as well. I bought a pair of roller skates on Poshmark. I reposhed them and they took my listing down. "unsupported".
disneygurl2u
@dondi_davis strange, I wish poshmark would clearly state what their rules are and exactly state what you can and cannot sell. Most importantly, they need to remain consistent in regards to their rules. If other people are selling the same items then why not crack down on them too?!? I read their vague rules and they do state that they will send an email if they remove one of your listings, but as it happened to me twice, no email was ever sent to me.
disneygurl2u
I had to write to them directly and their reason was vague and not logical. I really think certain sellers are singled out! - that is the only reason this would happen I think. Sure some items should not be for sale obviously- aerosol or flammable sprays, weapons, extra large items, extra. But this is ridiculous!
disneygurl2u
Update 1/29/24 three listings of mine have been deleted by moderators and I got the “caution” again 😏. I finally received my first email and it was for one of the deleted listings. The email was general and did not specify which exact listing and why. I expect an email that states which listing was deleted and why. I also think it should be fair for a seller to repeal the decision as the moderator could have been wrong to delete it.
disneygurl2u
Clearly this listing I posted proves that moderators could be wrong and have no justification to delete a listing. I think even those staff people that are in charge of the moderators, should be watching their actions as well. Is the reason why they deleted a listing in someone’s closet truly justified or is it personal for some reason?!? 🤷♀️
disneygurl2u
⭐️I apologize for the long emails I sent Poshmark headquarters but getting a vague general reason why a listing was deleted just was confusing to me. I assumed it was one of two necklaces. But, their listings were not deleted. So I am unclear which item was questioned. There was only two listings that would match the brand (in question that was supposedly violated). Nothing wrong with what they are- two necklaces from a popular brand.
disneygurl2u
⭐️ wrote to poshmark out of frustration and confusion. I assumed it was the one with the pocket knife image in stainless steel but it was not deleted. I have no idea what violated listing it was and if any listing was actually deleted as claimed in the email I received. It was as if some staff person simply wanted to scare me. A vendetta perhaps? But why? Because why would I get an email and no actual action was done as stated in the email?!? Weird!!!
disneygurl2u
⭐️I have not received a reply back
disneygurl2u
Another violation I received with no explanation as to why. I just contacted poshmark. I think I have a right to know why.
disneygurl2u
Luckily, to anyone who does report any of my listings and if any of them actually lead to a caution. Know that it eventually goes away and I am still here selling. I am doing great. So if you have a vendetta, it is not effecting my status or sales at all. - 😏,
disneygurl2u
If anyone - seller jealous of what I have to sell, resellers who I blocked because I do not like them in my closet, a buyer I blocked because I wrote to them may times out of concerns in regards to their purchase and they never bothered to write back or for anyone else I may have upset- sorry but I have the right to do so. I want only good vibes! - I only want a pleasant experience.
disneygurl2u
Dear poshmark staff, moderators, and poshers, I can see why sellers give up on Poshmark but will not. I will just eliminate anything that may turn into a bad experience for me. Thank you. 🥰
disneygurl2u
Perhaps this violation I recently mentioned is the same one from November. The major problem with these violations that lead to a caution is that —1. The seller usually never finds out specifically which listing was deleted and why - there is an email reply required but the one received is not
Specific. 2. The seller does not get a chance to refute it. 3. Due to listings that I have actually had deleted, it is indeed questionable what the moderators justifications are-
disneygurl2u
Did the seller actually violate the rules or is there an actual vendetta?
disneygurl2u
4. The moderators go after one seller’s listings but there are many other sellers with the same item for sale- but do they ever get a caution- no. Perhaps they never will. Which is why I really think some sellers are singled out. - even then if there many other sellers with the same item for sale and the Poshmark rules being too broad and vague, this can lead to a major confusion-
disneygurl2u
If many other sellers are selling the same or similar item, this leads other sellers to draw the logical conclusion that it is perfectly fine to sell the item as well—- right?!?- COME ON!!
