Hello, everyone!! Welcome to my closet! βΊοΈ My name's Shawntel, and I'm 18 years old! I graduated high school last year and took a few college classes, and right now I'm just trying to figure out what I want to do in life! I joined Posh on September 29th, 2014 in hopes to get my mom a birthday present and save up for us to go on our first vacation! You tell her she did an amazing job raising you from what I have read, raising kids is not a easy job. I have 2 stepsons one whom is autistic and lives with us full-time because his mom is to busy for him. So props to y ou r fabulous mother, I was 18 when my mom passed and I raised my younger brother whom was 13 when it happened, so trily take advantage of every minute you havr with her girl..Sorry not trying to depress you.

@irishgirl76 Try to contact Poshmark support through e-mail and give them your order ID number. If the seller hasn't shipped in 7 days you're free to cancel your order and get your money back (I think it takes a few days, though). If it's been less than 7 days, I'm pretty sure that you can still cancel the order. But I've never done that before, so Poshmark support will help you better!

Hey doll..yep im back. Ive been having alot of problems with my back. And again I was out of order. I'll I caould do was sit. I needed help do everything..embarrassing. I was was numb from the weist down. Half paralyzed. Not fun. I might have already told u about that. So I didnt want to go on b/c if someone wanted to buy something I couldnt do anything about it. I dont have a printer so I couldn't get the sending order. Ya know. Also I had my phone off so I wouldn't even no. One girl bought an item while my phone was off and I didnt notice until yesterday, so now im lookin like the bad posher cause it looks like I take forever to send stuff. I would send everything the next day if I could. But not being able to walk I couldn't get to a printer. Bummer!! I just have to keep doing therapy and get better. Hopefully, thats scary waking up not felling anything. Enough bout me. Whats up with. Snd YES, I β₯ the boots. Im gonna take then to a shoe store I know and get them stretched. When I like something. ..I wwill get them to fitβ₯β₯β₯

Ever since I started using Poshmark, I've been using the USPS app on my phone, and it's been very helpful! You can schedule for pickup in less than a minute; no trip to the post office necessary, because they'll come to you! You could also order free boxes and supplies through the app, hold mail, track packages, and more! It's been a lifesaver, and it saves gas money! π Maybe that could be an option for you! Idk how I could help with the printer problem, though. π I've been doing good...my mom's birthday was last week, and I was hoping that I could sell enough to get us on our first vacation! I didn't reach my goal, so I decided to set aside most of the money I've earned to save up for it, and ended up taking my mom to a nice restaurant! I bought my mom's Christmas gift on Monday, but I was hoping I could buy her some more...hopefully I can make some more sales before Christmas! Keep your fingers crossed for me π

I'm not very big and I will curl up with your clothes....Hee Hee ... Check out vacations to Puerto Rico...its a great vaca and still in the United States and VERY affordable and it's an incredible place...there's a rainforest you can visit...its a tropical paradise! (Just a suggestion of course)! You are just such a treat to talk to and you have THE best attitude and I think you will go far in this world...πI feel very lucky to have met you!ππ

@mcjayne Aww, you put a huge smile on my face! πππ I believe that I will go far, as well! I can be pretty lazy, which is the only thing that's stopping me right now! I'm slowly overcoming it, though! It's hard to break old habits π I know that as soon as I take care of that, I'm gonna do big things! πππ I've considered Puerto Rico, but I have my mind set on Tortola or Maldives for some reason! I know that it's expensive....but at the same time, I KNOW that I can do it! I'll take you with me, as long as you promise to relax and have a good time while you're there πππ Too many people are so caught up and stressed with life's daily obstacles! Lol don't pack your stress in the suitcase! π΄π

@mcjayne I highly suggest that you get it out of the way and watch it TODAY! It's just like 2 hours out of your time, and you definitely get a return on investment...if you really just stay open (in the mind) and watch, your outlook on life will change. I also suggest that you read "The Powers of Your Subconscious Mind" by Joseph Murray. Both that and The Secret aren't going against any certain religion, by the way! (just in case you're religious) This is suitable for everyone! The main point of it all is that positive thoughts will lead to positive things happening in your life. If you VISUALIZE yourself being somewhere or something and believe with all your heart (without a doubt) that it will happen, it WILL happen! The Secret gives GREAT examples of this! Anyway, The Secret gets more in depth so there's no need to explain it any further π I really hope you watch it! Let me know when you do and what you think about it! π

@vintagedynamite Hi Shawntel, I agree with all of the people here, telling you how lovely and talented you are! I'm sure if you can settle on a major you like in school, you'll nail it no problem. If you're not inclined toward any of the STEM areas, then I'd suggest you head directly for Marketing/Communications. With your artistic vision and that megawatt smile, I know you'll go far!
I got into the computer industry at age 17, and I took my mom on many trips with me, so I love that you're taking good care of your mom too. Wishing both of you love, happiness, and success. :-)

@katstyle Oh my goodness, you are so kind! Thank you! βΊοΈπ My high school was a STEM academy and I took fashion marketing, business management, AP psychology, math analysis, and much more! I even took Latin in middle school, and I taught myself to code websites! I just really need guidance on what I want to do! Perfect strangers have told me that I should go into business, graphic design, real estate, marketing, finance, cuisine, and more! I just want to do something that I love and get paid to do it (and also have the ability to travel whenever I want, and be my own boss!!) π© In the meantime, while I figure things out, I'm poshing and coming up with other ways to make money and save up for Maldives or Tortola(can't get a job right now)! Thank you so much again for your incredibly sweet comment, and I must add that you are a BOMBSHELL! π

@vintagedynamite Ha, you sound like me! I'd been advised to try all of those fields too, except finance. I was lucky enough to have a job where I got to travel extensively for years, so glad I did it when I was young! I hope you can too, it's such a broadening experience.
After years in tech - while doing fun stuff like modeling & photography on the side - it's nice to indulge my artistic side more these last few years.
The moral of this story is: no reason you have to pin yourself down to doing just one thing. If you keep your mind, eyes, & options open, you'll find doors will do the same! :-)

Yes, you are still young and this is the time to craft your career path. Don't feel pressured to know exactly WHAT you want to do in the future (e.g., "I want to be CEO"). None of us really know what we EXACTLY want to do! Think about it, rather, as building your experiences. Take on opportunities that will expand your skill set--it does not have to be narrow. @vintagedynamite hi! I wasn't selling my first 3 weeks and then I had a friend direct me to @queenmumm . Look for her posh tip of the day posting in bright pink. After I did that two nights in a row and I had a sale. I'm also posting my whole closet at the 7pm party, and I go to the party and share items in the party to my followers. And I check my feed for shares back and so on. I don't know if this helps but I hit the party thing tonight and received an order.

@yugiohmom Yes, I've sold a decent amount of items, but very sporadically. My goal is to at LEAST sell 1 item a week. Right now I'm selling 1 or 2 items a month, which is kind of weird since some of my items are high in demand but no buyers. It just doesn't really add up to me, since I share so many of my own items-as well as others' items-and I display my listings in a clean (is that the word I'm looking for? π) way. Sorry for my rambling lol. Just thinking out loud. ππ
