Hi PFFs! I posted this listing for a few reasons. 1st - when I want to go back to find a conversation I had with someone, or look up a suggestion I rec’d, it’s been hard to find if it’s not on my Meet the Posher listing. Many times, a conversation occurs on an item posting & can be hard to find. 2nd - these conversations typically don’t pertain to the item anyway so it makes sense to have a separate listing where we can exchange info freely. Hope to hear from you all on this new listing.💕💕💕

I spent last evening sending out more than 30 Offers to Likers (which entailed trying to figure how low I could go on some prices and then writing everything out so I could keep track of it this time) in an effort to shake loose some sales from our closet!

I have to apologize yet again for being behind on my shares.☹️ I’ve been trying new things to attempt to get some sales, but not having much success - read up on 30 min. method, been participating in some share groups & trying to improve my closet, but results have been minimal. Problem is that this takes up so much time, there is none left to add new items to my closet and it’s hard to keep up on shares.

kellanne7976 🌸 I cannot work anymore due to medical problems - don’t know if you ever heard of POTS but one of the things you can get is severe “brain fog” and confusion. That’s me to a capital T - sometimes I spend 45 minutes trying to figure out where I left off. I also have intractable migraines but the Botox I receive is a Godsend.

kellanne7976 🌸 Anyway, Kelly and I started doing Poshmark because I was going nuts and it was therapy for me. I went from a high pressure job working 10-16 hours a day and needed something to do. Now I find myself getting overwhelmed, confused, and losing track of all I need to do here. I’m not sure what I should do. Whether I should continue... Sell somewhere else ... I had a really bad few weeks.

kellanne7976 🌸 I get IV fluids about every 2 weeks and am due for those and also have an extra doctors appt this week because I have been experiencing severe dizziness so I won’t make any decisions right away. Maybe I will feel better soon 😌 Sorry for rambling on so much. Just wanted to let you know what was going on and why I share inconsistently sometimes 💕💕

rtsymom @kellanne7976 The auto reduced shipping is offered from Poshmark most often when they are having a closet clear out promotion (CCO). To trigger it seller must drop price of item by at least 10% from the historically lowest price item has been. Example: you reduce a sweater from $25 to $22 during CCO and a notification should go out to all likers of that item informing them of price drop, and reduced shipping for 6 hours.

rtsymom @kellanne7976 However, if that same sweater had been previously lowered to $20 for a limited time, and changed back to $25 then it would have to be dropped to $18 in order to trigger discount shipping. Hope this makes sense? Other than CCO, Poshmark offers the discount shipping sort of randomly when listings are price dropped by 10% or more. Best part about this type of reduced shipping is it’s a win for both buyer and seller.

rtsymom @kellanne7976 You said you understand the offer to likers feature so I won’t go into that. Another way to offer free or reduced shipping is to someone who has the item(s) in a bundle. Sellers can now share item(s) directly to a potential buyer (typically the shopper has the item in their likes). Once in a bundle seller can send private offer to just that one person. (This differs from offer to likers where everyone receives same offer.)

rtsymom @kellanne7976 You can offer free or reduced shipping but are not required to with this feature. But keep in mind offering $4.99 shipping will subtract $1.50 from your profit in addition to the usual PM fee. Free shipping will result in an $6.49 reduction to your profit. Hope this helps. rtsymom @kellanne7976 Yes! Randomly PM offers discount shipping when an item is dropped at least the 10% from historically lowest price. Especially high priced items like share group listings; they qualify for the reduced shipping since they are being dropped so drastically. 👍🏼😎💰

rtsymom @kellanne7976 The bundle way, or simply subtract $6.50 (or 7$) from the item and offer them that much less. Easy peazy 👍🏼😻😜 I had several sellers lately take a top I liked and shared it to my bundle so they could send me offers.

connie_closet I’d like to re-list shoes which attracted 3 separate creepy offers. All 3 were guys with no listings, few followers, offered 5x higher price than listed if I’d also send pics of my feet in the “works of art” (used Cathy Jean platforms). One bought them ($13) and taunted the others about it. I cancelled the sale, reported & blocked them. Have you experienced this? How long should I wait to repost item? Thanks.

kellanne7976 @connie_closet 🌸 Fortunately, I have never had this happen to me. I am glad that you cancelled the order because your return address will appear on the label when you ship an item. Hopefully, blocking the individuals will resolve the issue, but if I were you, I’d suggest waiting at least several weeks so interest hopefully subsides and I would change the cover photos.

zenmama17 First off, Kellanne, I sympathize with you. I am only vaguely aware of POTS, but I have a close friend who is disabled from long term chronic lyme disease that took years to diagnose. One of the difficulties of her condition is that she can't predict good days and bad days, so there is always a risk of not feeling well enough to follow through on plans.

zenmama17 Ok, the first thing I notice is that you have only a handful of items listed. More items= more page views = more sales. I don't have a ton of things listed myself, so this is definitely something I need to improve as well.

zenmama17 Next, a few of your photos could use better lighting. If you look at my listings, you can see that I have taken a lot of pictures outdoors. I also use a reading lamp that is on a flexible arm so it can be used like a spotlight when I am taking photos indoors. Many people will pass on an item that is not well lit, as dim lighting can be used to hide flaws. hth! Happy poshing! Lorel

zenmama17 Kellanne, I have heard that POTS can be difficult. My close friend suffers from chronic lyme that took years to get properly diagnosed. She has good days and bad days, but it is hard to predict when she will be feeling ok.

kellanne7976 @zenmama17 Wow! What a coincidence that I happened to pull my phone out now and look at PM. (I’m not checking it as often since my closet is on vacay.). POTS has changed my life - the fatigue, headaches and brain fog are the worst. We are in FL now since I simply cannot tolerate the cold weather at all. I am doing so much better down here!

kellanne7976 @zenmama17 But I still have problems and need to get IV fluids every 2-3 weeks because for some reason my body does not hold enough fluid volume and then not enough blood circulates to my brain causing more brain fog and terrible headaches, and an aching back and neck muscles. My husband and I have been walking everyday down here and I just had an episode where we needed to go into Walmart, sit down and rest because I was short of breath, dizzy and having difficulty walking.

kellanne7976 @zenmama17 This was relatively early on in our route, but it will be 3 weeks on Friday since I received fluids so I know I’m due. It rules you, even when you think you are going to sneak by it. That said, you learn to live with it because there are always people who are worse off and that is the attitude you need to have so it doesn’t get to you.

kellanne7976 @zenmama17 @fallon_r 🌸I definitely agree with the need to add more item to your closet. Also, are you sharing your item to parties and a least two to three times a day? One trick I learned when sharing your items is not to just use the share button, although that seems the most logical and easiest way.

kellanne7976 Instead, when you share your item, open it using the edit button, and then hit share. PM has some algorithms or formulas it uses and somehow I guess doing this increases your chances of your items appearing in the feed. I do this and it works.

kellanne7976 @daenyc 🌸 Hi. Since I would imagine that would be a very expensive item, I would try to take the best photographs in the best lighting possible. Take pictures from the front, side, and back, and include close up shots of the fabric and any detailing like lace, beading, or how it fastens, as well as the dress lining.

If all of this goes over the 8 pics allowed by Poshmark, just use one of those photo editors where you can make a collage of pictures where you can turn say 4 or 2 pics into 1 - I do it all the time, even when I’m not up against the 8 limit because it looks nice and professional for some of these close up shots.

kellanne7976 @daenyc 🌸 Also, while a flat lay or styling on a mannequin or hanger is good to have for a few shots, you should definitely consider having a shot or two where you model the dress so folks can get a good idea of how the dress looks on - it’s so hard to see that when it’s just hung on a hanger. Dress up nice and look pretty or use a pic from your wedding!

kellanne7976 Also, be very descriptive - include all the measurements - armpit to armpit, armpit to sleeve end, top of shoulder to waist, waist to hem, etc. Include what fabric/s the dress is made from as well as the lining. kellanne7976 @mk_rose_bud 🌸 Yes, we are all doing pretty good. I haven’t been feeling as well since we came back from Florida, but I’m hoping the weather starts to warm up soon. Yes, you have to just keep plugging away, even when it’s slow on PM. I have been trying to follow the 30 min method faithfully (but it takes me about an hour, plus I spend about another 2-3 hours doing other PM related stuff almost every day) and that’s when my sales started to pick up.

kellanne7976 @gwood01 Ok. Good. Once you get the notification, depending upon how active you want to be and whether you want to try for host picks, you should do several things. First, check out the theme of the party. If it’s something that applies to your closet, and it works with your schedule, you should absolutely share your applicable items to the party. Your items are potentially getting exposed to hundreds of thousands of Poshers when you do this.😊

kellanne7976 While the daytime parties have a specific theme, the last party of the day has a broad theme and you can generally share most if not all of your items to the party. Next, it you think you can “attend” this virtual party, you should RSVP. This gets the attention of the hosts. Attending means joining the party when the message pops up on your screen or just going into the party and sharing items that interest you.

kellanne7976 I suggest going into the host pick section and sharing as many of the Host Pick items as you can (you don’t have to share them all) and for the ones you really like, or for Poshers you know, leave them a comment congratulating them on having their lovely item chosen for a host pick and wishing them a speedy sale. Be sure to share the items.

kellanne7976 Also, when you are looking at the Party Notification, you will see a list of the party hosts (they are the circles at the bottom). If you are interested in trying to get a host pick, you should click on each one, make sure you are following them and check out their closets. Many will have a listing announcing that they are co-hosting a party. If they do, add a comment to the listing congratulating them on hosting a party and letting them know that you plan to attend.

kellanne7976 Share some items from their closet, share their listing announcing they are co+hosting a party, and come back and share their closet again. Make sure you like their listing so when they send it out again, you will be reminded to go back to their closet and share a few more items. (Some hosts even let you know what to do to be considered for a host pick.)
