Today I posted a photo of my purse (see Michael Kors bucket purse for detail)- and I want to warn my fellow poshers to please be cautious when selling outside of posh- or if something doesn't feel right--- do not give out your personal information! I apologize if it is hard to follow- i had to screenshot the emails in different chunks to fit the whole comtext.

ringsthings Hi I hope u don't mind if I also post this in my scammer alert!!! If u don't want this posted please let me know. I will send u a copy of my scammer alert & u can share it to all ur followers & tell them to share it & so on. Well get the word out there!!! If were there sharing our bad experiences & not worry about our own shame, we'll get rid of these jerks!!! This happened to me too!!! Cheryl 🌼🌼🌼

nikler Noooo!!!!! I couldn't even finish reading this it brought back bad memories....dejavu!!!! Did they get u? They delivered two certified checks to me, although they were just sitting on my porch step one day when I got home!! Is that certified?? I'm not sure.... But they were totalling in amount of over $5000!!!! When u saw these just laying on my porch I really knew this wasn't right

nikler So then she sent me msgs via email snotty as could be asking me what's going on I should've been to the bank already I need to leave asap and get this done blah blah blah. She really expected me to believe I was to be trusted with all this money a total stranger. To be paying her movers and paying for another item in the area she supposedly purchased. Etc and I got to keep $30 for my gas!!! Hahahahaha what the heck is wrong w these people.

nikler I also am spreading the word and have been for awhile. There intent is to get u to deposit their check/checks and then they have your bank info and they'll wipe ur acct out clean!!! They're also targeting elderly and it's very sad and so so wrong. Let's stop these people. Together if we all continue spreading the word even if we only stop them from a handful of people imagine how much money saved for people it is.

nikler The scary thing is my banker says they may never be caught as they use so many different names. And as a matter of fact the two checks the woman sent me were from two seperate company names. And two different signatures/2 different names. They seem to Target higher dollar amnt listings of $100 and up. But ya never know. Just stick to sales thru posh and no off site transactions n u will be safe. Sorry for so many msgs I just want u all to get how real this is!!

nikler One more thing...makes me wonder what kind of info they may have and if they know who to Target as when they tried to get me, I was due to have my federal taxes deposited in my acct the next day and they would've got all of that from me and I wouldn't have been able to do anything about it because they don't use real information, names , company names, addresses, etc. Be careful

charyhvue @nikler thanks!!! What an experience!!! Lucky you listened to your gut intuition!!! It's disheartening to see that scammers are out to con posh community but that's good everyone is passing the word out to prevent it from happening!!!

twotreefrogs2 I SHARED THIS WITH MY FOLLOWERS, I ABSOLUTELY DETEST SCAMMERS, HAVING WORKED IN THE INSURANCE INDUSTRY FOR 20 YEARS, YOU COME ACROSS ALL KINDS. IM GLAD THAT YOU DIDN'T FALL FOR THIS, I'VE BEEN HERE A YEAR ON POSH AND HAVE SHARED HUNDREDS OF POSTS FROM OTHERS THAT WERE VICTIMS OF THESE A-HOLES. ALWAYS DO ALL OF YOUR BUSINESS WHETHER SELLING OR BUYING THROUGH POSHMARK, UNLESS YOU DO IT LOCALLY AND KNOW THAT THE PERSON IS TRUSTWORTHY.

dianesteinberg When something smells fishy, it's definitely rotten - so glad you didn't do anything as they asked you to. Oh, I'm selling the Brooklyn Bridge - would anyone like that? Oh, I inherited a million dollars a few weeks ago - all I had to do was wire $2000 in attorney fees to get it - always scammers out there, but they're easy to spot as they want to change the way things are done, and they're in a huge rush to do it.

ikhan2008 Hi I just had a experience like this someone was asking about my product and gave me a email to send more information to so I remember this post about scams I’m so grateful you posted this I would have probably fell for this scam thank you ✨
