skymel71 @fitzwater79 Hi, how do you handle a buyer that leaves an unfair rating ? Do you respond to the buyer or ignore it ?

fitzwater79 @skymel71 hi unfortunately it won't matter what you say to the buyer. People can be so nasty on here. The problem is that they don't READ THE LISTINGS AND LOOK AT ALL PICTURES. People told me along time ago that some people just give bad ratings on purpose. I'm sorry you have had a problem with someone.

fitzwater79 @skymel71 if it would make you feel better to ask why the person did it then do it. People have reached out to poshmark before about bad ratings and poshmark will tell you that nothing can be done about it. I don't like the rating system because I think poshmark should have a rating system for the buyer as well.

skymel71 @fitzwater79 I’ve been on Poshmark for about 2 or 3 yrs can’t remember lol I rarely get rated less than 5 as I strive to make my customers happy. I’m a fast shipper etc but every now and then I get an unfair rating . I hate that posh keeps emailing the buyers to please rate their purchases after the 3 day acceptance . I also hate that posh gives the buyer an option to include ratings that are out of the sellers control .

skymel71 For example I don’t think buyers should be given the option to choose other and allow buyers to comment an item didn’t fit as a reason for a less than 4 star rating. In my case , my buyer received items exactly as described plus a free item , I shipped next day , bubble wrapped item . Buyer never accepted item so posh released funds .

skymel71 . Two weeks later buyer finally rates me and rates a 1 because her phone case broke and the other item was “ loose “ according to buyer.” I usually don’t respond but this time this bothered me lol . So I responded. Anyways , I meant to comment on your other post where there was a discussion going on about sellers/buyers . Sorry just venting lol

fitzwater79 @skymel71 it's ok you can vent. I know it's very upsetting. Poshmark needs to do something for the sellers. These buyers pull crap all the time and it's to be ok. I had a perfect 5 star rating and because people can't read they gave me a crap rating twice.

fitzwater79 @skymel71 I actually have been off poshmark for awhile do to medical problems. I think alot of it is that I'm sick of how things are done on poshmark. This new tax stuff is just ridiculous.

fitzwater79 @skymel71 Thanks so much. Hey don't let these bad ratings get to you. Believe me I know how hard it is not to let it upset you. So many people want stuff for next to nothing or free. Poshmark has got better with how they handle things so I have been told. It seemed like the buyer was always right and the seller wasn't if a case was opened by a buyer. Poshmark needs to look at both sides fairly imo.

fitzwater79 @skymel71 oh another thing that I started doing since buyers can't see a bad rating on a sellers part if they are bad. I will give a 5 star just so I can leave a comment for others to see that the seller wasn't good. It goes both ways for me. I'm a buyer and a seller. I have had a really difficult time with sellers not shipping for days!! I'm not ok with that. Paying almost 7 bucks for fast shipping and they take days NO NOT COOL.

fitzwater79 @skymel71 The bottom line is poshmark has all this rating and commenting for the sellers so they need the same system for the buyers. Like as a seller being able to let other sellers know if the buyer took days to accept the order from seller or if poshmark had to release funds etc. Sorry now I'm having a rant lol.

fitzwater79 @skymel71 like right now. I purchased something on Saturday & today is Tuesday my seller hasn't said thank you kindly for your purchase or nothing and still my item hasn't been shipped yet. So this person I'm sure won't be getting a good rating from me. This seller can't ship my item but has been on poshmark several times in the last few days. Communication with a customer was a huge deal with me when I sold something.

skymel71 @fitzwater79 I totally understand.. I’m both a buyer and seller on Posh. If a seller doesn’t mail a purchase in a timely manner. I will cancel my order but good thing I have only had that happened to me twice . I’m pretty lenient as far as my rating unless it is something outrageous . Most of my experiences have been positive on Posh though .

fitzwater79 @skymel71 Most of mine have been good also. I cut many sellers a break with ratings especially on their ship time. As I said now I will give a 5 star but that's only so I can let a comment for others. Anything under a 5 nobody can read your comment to the seller. I have had people lie about items being authentic as well lol. Idk if you had any problems with that. When that happened I was new to poshmark. So that was a few years ago.
