This is a floral decoupaged trunk-up elephant coated in a hard clear resin, with a pink bow around its neck (the bow can be removed easily if you prefer). It stands almost 8 inches tall to the tip of its trunk, and about 5 inches wide. In very good vintage condition. Joan Baker Designs was founded in 1975 in California by Joan Baker McKee, and is well known for producing these whimsical decoupage animals in the 1980s. Each piece begins with a sculpture, which is then carefully ‘patched’ with high-quality, USA, milled fabric. Then, it is brought to a beautiful, lustrous shine by applying their proprietary non-yellowing, non-toxic finish.
