Superkrystal I worked on a character that is non-verbal and has sensory hypersensitivities, so I try to make it easy for people outside of autism to understand from an early age. Also, that those with autism can identify with a fantastic character. I want to show in the content of the book different social aspects referring to autism: -Sensory hypersensitivity: Krystal's powers are her overdeveloped senses. -Diversity in the families: Krystal's mother is Caucasian and she is African-American. -Fear of the unknown: Rodrigo is a child who acts cautiously when he sees Krystal acting differently. -Adaptation: The ease way that children can understand basic concepts and act on them.-Languages: Superkristal is in English and Spanish from start to finish so that people can work on both languages.
