Pre-Date Code Authentic Louis Vuitton checkbook holder

Authentic Louis Vuitton vintage business checkbook holder in used and vintage considion. This piece was designed to hold business checks. The slit on the side is where you’d slide in the check book which would then lay across. You’d tear the checks off downward. I’ve had waitresses but these from me and use them as their notebook cover. You’d simply put the cardboard backing of a small notebook down inside the slit. A passport and cash fits inside easily. Date codes started in 1982. There is no date code on this and I estimate this is from 1980 or 1981. LV used this type of leather (with suede backing) in the late 70’s and early 80’s. In the early 80’s, LV spelled France with a lower case f (made in france). See heat stamp. This is why I estimate the year is either 1980 or 81. Measurements shown. Some very minor wear and damage on corners. There is a rip along a seam of the interior leather edge. This could be glued down with leather glue or leather cement. Or use as is. See pic.
