mmstevens11 @birdascloset she is a Minnesota based artist. Grew up in the Twin Cities Metro area. Now she lives in the Brainerd area. She was a single mom who started drawing to make money. All of her artwork is hand drawn and many pieces are featured at galleries in the Twin Cities. She was a friend of my late step mother, which is how I have this piece.

stevendl8188 Hi there. I purchased a frame from a local secondhand shop to use for my daughter’s artwork around our home. It has what looks like an original hand drawn pencil artwork in it that I thought looked very well done and I actually really like. It looks like it’s signed by the same artist Sherrie Garcia that you are listing. It’s hard to find any information on her but I would love to know more about it , if it is from her etc. I came across your listing and thought it wouldn’t hurt to reach out.

mmstevens11 @stevendl8188 that’s so cool. Sherrie Garcia was a friend of my late step mother. She is an artist from Minnesota and is know for her pencil drawings. Her pieces have been featured in galleries throughout the Twin Cities. Some of her drawings can go for thousands of dollars.

stevendl8188 @mmstevens11 Thanks, I might try calling around to some art galleries or local art appraisers to see what information I can find out about it. I’m more just curious about the story behind it, if it is one of her pieces. Regardless, I like it but it would be fun to know.
