I'm not trying to slam docs here (but I'm not trying not to slam them either, given that they routinely ignore complaints by women, minorities and the overweight. ) I am trying to point out that people who say the free market can deliver quality health care are WRONG. Health care is not a free market. You don't get to choose your insurer and don't get to choose your doctor and you cant easily compare prices and often need it when you have no time to shop around. Health care is an unsound market that cannot be fixed simply by saying 'economics'. We need to recognize that universal health care is both a right, and a smart investment in our citizens
