sholay Thank you! 'Palla' is what I've heard called a 'pallu,' that is a striking part of the saree fabric, not a separate piece? Also is an 'heirloom' saree a particular kind of saree? Don't mind all my questions! My Pakistani husband-to-be would like to buy me my first saree! Thanks, T

tmurano @sholay Congratulations on your union!!excited for you as well and the only honest advice I have got for anyone choosing their sarees is go with the one that you feel connected to almost like it touched your soul then it's always the right one ;)palla or pallu are the same actually and they are part of the 6 yard fabric which is the part you finally drape them over your shoulders.Heirloom here means it's a technique of hand sewing that has is used to create the whole of this saree.
