Beautiful purple (verging on navy) velvet, Mexican, Frida Kahlo style huipil. Many huipils are hand-embroidered, but I believe this one was machine embroidered...wouldn't know unless lining was detached to see the stitching on the back side. Fully lined with traditional, floral cotton. Huipils are frequently not sewn up the sides so that it can be custom stitched for sizing. This one has been hand-sewn up each side and would best fit a size L or XL. It would be easy to restitch for adjusted size. Color palate is striking between purple velvet and bright orange flowers. Embroidery wraps around entire blouse. Not sure of production date. Other colors include green, yellow and gold. In great condition with no marks, tears, stains, rips, etc. See photos for measurements. Please message with any questions.
