RANDY STRONG Signed Paperweight / 3.25 Inches / Vintage 1993 Gold Foil Art Glass

Randy Strong, an award winning artist, designer, and master craftsman has created elegant and highly sought-after works in blown glass for over 50 years in his Berkeley, California studio. He and legendary glass artist Dale Chihuly are credited for bringing glass blowing back to prominence in America in the 1970’s. Strong’s glass sculptures have been acquired by international collectors and are a part of collections ranging from the Corning Museum of Glass in New York, to the Louvre Museum in Paris. This elegant hand-blown paperweight was made in 1993 and features a mesmerizing, multi-layered design using gold foil. It measures 3.25 inches wide and weighs 1.75 pounds. The paperweight is in excellent condition for its age but has a small scratch on one side. Randy Strong signed and dated this piece near the bottom (see photo).
