This is an 1878 edition of Longfellow's The Poetical Works of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Complete Edition, published in 1882 by The Riverside Press, Cambridge; Boston: Houghton, Mifflin and Company. Henry Wadsworth Longfellow was an American poet & educator. Longfellow wrote many lyric poems known for their musicality & often presenting stories of mythology & legend. He became the most popular American poet of his day & had success overseas. Many of his works helped shape the American character & its legacy, particularly with the poem "Paul Revere's Ride" (Pg.239). Dimensions: 5 ½” X 4” X 1 ¼” Condition: Shows signs of distress but ALL pages are still intact. A Loved & Used Book/has splits on book cloth at spine, wear to the covers & pages, & a few pencil marks on interior pages.
