Extremely rare 1920’s Leigh Ware Navajo Motif plate set (4), and a set of bowls (4). If you’re willing to accept another bowl with a chip, it’ll be 4 plates, 5 bowls total.
These pieces have been found in museums, and this is your chance to own a piece of history. These plates are the “ultra” style made from the 1920s through the 1930s. They are square with serrated edges to mirror the terrain of the Mesa in Arizona. Lillian Wilhelm Smith used the terrain and environment around her to inspire her art. After making her way back to Arizona in 1916 she committed herself to making dish ware and art that mirrored the life around her. This style is very hard to find, and while I have been lucky to have this set I would love to find it a forever home with someone who will love this collection like I did. If you are a vintage glass ware collector or just someone looking for their home, feel free to message me with an offer. I am happy to take more photos, for serious buyers. Will be shipped with the utmost of care, but buyer pays shipping.
