I will get you the rest of the description. I compiled the information from a few colleagues and had it prepared for you in my final assessment/appraisal.

@sybaritex Thank you for providing such a detailed evaluation and historical context for this remarkable piece. I truly value your expertise and the thoughtful insights you’ve shared—it’s always fascinating to uncover the rich stories behind such exceptional items.
As someone new to the auction process, I would greatly appreciate your guidance on how to proceed. Could you kindly outline the next steps involved?

@sybaritex Additionally, I’d like to understand how the split is structured once the piece is sold.
With an auction estimate of $5,000–$7,000, would there be a specific starting point or reserve price, and how is that typically determined? Alternatively, do you think raising the price and marketing it differently might be a better strategy?
In your professional opinion, what would be the best approach to maximize the potential of this piece?
dsavlen
@sybaritex I’m eager to ensure it’s positioned effectively to achieve its full value.
Thank you again for your time and expertise—I look forward to your thoughts and recommendations.
Warm regards,
Donna-Lee

Ok. The conversation has limited publicity, being only to others viewing your brooch. My best recommendation without texting or speaking directly is contacting Christie's, Sotheby's, and Bonham's all in NY.
sybaritica
They will ask you to submit photographs to be appraised by the department head. Subsequently, they each provide you with an auction estimate range. The "realized" price will depend on the current market.
