CHALEUR for THE MUSEUM COMPANY
Impressionists Series
ANOTHER rare image on a Chaleur mug! . . . I couldn't find this one available anywhere, NOR could I find another photo of one. I was able to figure out that the image was based on two different paintings (see below) but I honestly couldn't find any mugs with this particular image.
The beautiful imagery on this mug is inspired by French painter and founder of impressionism, Claude Monet and his 1866 painting, "Women in the Garden" as well as his other painting, "Flowering Garden at Sainte-Adresse". Besides the wrap-around image, a coordinating image is featured on the handle as well. This is part of the now retired series of mugs, designed by Joy Dabby, that feature famous artwork/artists.
Between 1986 and 2009, Chaleur had produced 88 different varieties of these coffee mugs. Some of their mugs were made in agreement with Starbucks and the Museum Company under those labels.
Made for The Museum Company.
Size:
4" tall
3" dia. opening
14 oz capacity
I have other mugs that I'm planning on listing that are also art-centric. To save on shipping, add any items you are buying to your "bundle" and purchase all at the same time.
I LOVED The Museum Company stores! They had the best stuff and was my favorite place to shop for gifts. It looks like they don't have stand-alone stores anymore other than those inside of actual museum.
In excellent condition. No chips, cracks, scuffs, stains, damage, etc.
