*RARE* CRUCITA TENORIO renowned Native American jewelry craftsman necklace

I purchased this from a lovely little shop on Canyon Rd. in Santa Fe, NM some years ago. And am listing this so I can remember the late fabulous designer who created it. I was told it was museum quality when I purchased it and it is still breathtaking. So hard to find much information on the revered artist. The late Crucita Tenorio, a renowned Santo Domingo Pueblo craftswoman, was known for her distinctive necklaces that melded traditional Native American jewelry-making methods with striking beading combinations. She created such breathtaking combinations of asymmetry and color. This necklace is a prime example of her artistic hand made beads and artistry. The beauty of this necklace just captivated me the moment I saw it in the case. This piece is part of the history of bead making and jewelry craftsmanship in Santo Domingo Pueblo by one of it's most revered artists. This necklace is a rare find. ***My friend purchased a necklace as well at the same time from the same designer. She still had the handwritten tag. It is the last pic.
