RARE! Early 19th Century Sponge Ware Bean Pot Pitcher With Lid
Style: Cabin / Early American / Farmhouse
This beautiful old pitcher of very early stoneware. It is perfectly imperfect! Boasting the signature blue sponge pattern overall. You also can see, from image details, the handcrafted characteristics in the glaze: all the imperfections, except for some crackling glaze because of its age here and there, are the manufacturing flaws. This piece is very sturdy! It is very heavy. The lid is slightly lighter than the pitcher. Aside from imperfections created during the making of this piece, the character of this pitcher is timeless.
Dimensions:
The base of the pitcher without handle is 5.5" in diameter. The measure, including the handle, is 6 3/4".
Its height is 5"
The lid is 3 3/4" diameter, 1/2" thick
Weight: 2.914 Lb (1.322 kg)
