RARE FIND! 18th Century Cranberry Or Ruby Gold Hand Blown Glass

This is a very Rare Find. I shop for antiques every week and this cranberry glass also known as Ruby gold is a true treasure and I rarely come across a peice of it. It's 5" Hx 5.5"Wx 4"D and the opening is 3" W. It's an amazing hand blown peice and it has several seeds in the glass making it worth even more. No chips, no damage. History on Cranberry glass, or they use to call it Ruby Gold, it was created in the 18th century in Bohemian, and they infuse red glass with gold to make it come out cranberry in color. How they do that is they use gold Chloride, and it's made by dissolving gold in a solution of nitric acid, & hydrochloric acid (aqua regia) that's what it becomes. Then the glass is hand blown. The more of a rich cranberry color that was used, determines they used more gold in the process. That's what makes cranberry glass so valuable and one of the most valuable peices when it comes to antique glass. 1 glass that's cranberry can be worth up to $100 or more because of the gold.
