RARE Metal Ink Pad Holder Ornate Lidded Case Made In Occupied Japan Vintage

For your consideration is what I believe to be a vintage ink pad holder. Most likely made of pewter or a similar metal. Very ornately decorated with raised florals, metal dots and stripes.
