RARE Murray Kruger 1950's luxury velvet and leather handbag

This purse comes from the era when handbags visually conveyed not only the wearer’s knowledge of fashion but also of their wealth. From the 1950s and around 70 years old this handbag is a statement piece. It was created around the time Chanel’s 2.55 handbag in February of 1955. I have yet to see another one identical to this or something similar in such condition. The velvet is still plush and pressed where the closures from the front flap are. The hardware is still shinny. Inside has a zippered compartment which can either be curved around the inside or used to section the purse into different compartments. Front, back and bottom are velvet. Sides and inside are leather. If you are a fashionista this belongs in your collection. A rare opportunity to own an extremely hard to find luxury handbag.
