RARE Norman Rockwell's "The Jolly Coachman", Limited Edition retired Full Size 40 year old porcelain figurine Rare find — this item is hard to come by. A wonderful Christmas keepsake. This LARGE figurine is a limited edition (2900/7500) 1980 figurine along with the original box (40 years old) entitled "The Jolly Coachman". PLEASE NOTE: The original styrofoam is not included but the item will come in a styrofoam enclosure that does not fix the box.From the gift world of Gorham, stamped 1980. Produced for only one year and in excellent condition.
Inspired by the cover of The Saturday Evening Post published December 7, 1929. This original painting has been lost. This painting was Rockwell's 122nd overall of 322 pictures featured on the cover of The Post. In 1920, Rockwell dominated the covers of the Saturday Evening Post with 9 covers to his name. The painting also appears in three Rockwell commentary books. It appears:
