likenewposhshop @melissaholtan Hi! It’s the historic spelling. From the official Indian website - “In 1923, the company changed its name from The Hendee Manufacturing Company to The Indian Motocycle Company – no ‘r’ in ‘motocycle’ when the word was first used with the name Indian.” Please feel free to google it - Indian used the word (without the “R”) in their branding. There also several online forums with Indian fans that address it. Hope that helps.

likenewposhshop The jacket was given to me by an exec with Indian who was friends with my father back in the late 80’s or 90’s. I’ve never seen another one like it - it may have been a prototype or part of a limited run, but it’s a really well made and stunning jacket. Unfortunately, I’ve grown a bit since those days and never had many chances to wear it. I’d love to find a new home for it with someone who can properly enjoy it!
