Hi. Been doing research on my old LV speedy and it looks just like yours with the tag and slide lock! What else do you know about it please? This is the only time I found a Speedy that looks just like mine! Thank you.
paytonmanley
@savvyshopper66 this bag is fake.
paytonmanley
Fake speedy!!
jberilla19
@paytonmanley I’d appreciate if you did your research before making accusations. LV didn’t use date codes before 1982, therefore older vintage pieces don’t have them. My mother purchased this @ the Saks Fifth Avenue store @ Plaza Frontenac. LV doesn’t even authenticate bags by the date code anymore as they can wear off on older bags. I would never scam anyone of their hard earned $. My pricing’s generously discounted despite the fact that this is a collectors item dating back to the early 1980’s

This bag is in beautiful condition! Can you provide the measurements please? Thank you!
jberilla19
@cathyfarber Hi Cathy! The measurements for the Speedy 30 are 11.8” (L) x 8.3” (H) x 6.7” (W). Please let me know if you have any other questions! 💖

Is the zipper broken?
connie4580
BTW... she's stunning!
jberilla19
@connie4580 thanks so much! She’s a collector item for sure. Unfortunately, the zipper is broken and I’ve seemed to have lost it. 😏 I’m willing to negotiate on pricing! 😃

Hi, I was reading the comments on your bag. I’ll do some more research because I’ve forgotten much of what I used to know, but if I’m not mistaken, your bag is difficult to locate because it’s one of the few Vuittons that was made in America during the sixties, seventies, and possibly into the eighties. If your an old tv buff, you’ll see “Samantha Stevens” carrying one on an episode or two of “Bewitched”. You are right, your bag is rare, old and from the appearance, in remarkably good condition.
jberilla19
@christi6264 Thank you so much Christi. It is definitely rare given how old it is. If you’re interested, please feel free to make an offer! 💓

Hi there, I see the last inquiry about this handbag was in November, is it still available?
jberilla19
@edelweiss56 hi! Yes it is still available! Please let me know if you have any questions!
edelweiss56
@jberilla19 Hi, thanks for the quick response😁 Your bag is on remarkably good shape, considering it's age. It's all in how well they are taken care of.
My question is about the leather, specifically the handles and tabs.
The color is so even, to me they look like leather paint was applied, or that new handles and straps were put on?
*2nd page to follow.

**I mean absolutely no disrespect, so I hope you aren't offended? These aren't inexpensive bags, even when they are
vintage, and I do respect that.
*I was a Cobbler, and we took in a lot of LV, and other luxury brand bags and accessories.
jberilla19
@edelweiss56 I’m not offended in the slightest! Nothing on this bag has been replaced or painted. Everything is original. The straps and tags have a few marks, but you are right that the leather is in remarkably great shape and not cracked like in some vintage bags. I just took a couple more pictures of the straps for you to see those closer in a different light, in case helpful?! I’m also happy to post any other pics you would like! 😁

@jberilla19 Hi, I did a little reading, so FYI: The reason the leather looks so different than the Vachetta, is because
it isn't! TFLC, The French Luggage Company made LV early on and used
a coated leather. Also, the seam at the bottom means the leather was cut, you'll note that the LV is facing up on both sides. They didn't run the canvas all the way around the bag like they
edelweiss56
Also, the thread they used was white, as is on your bag, and numbers of stitches aren't consistent like they are now.
Very interesting reading! I'm going to try and attach the URL I got my I from, hope it works!https://www.xupes.com/magazine/article/2016/05/26/authenticating-louis-vuitton-bags-our-top-tips
jberilla19
@edelweiss56 Thank you so much for doing all this research as that’s super helpful and interesting to know!! 😁😘

I have it’s twin! Can you tell me anyway in particular to k ow it’s authentic? I’m thinking of parting ways with it but I don’t want to false advertise. I bought it from an older woman on here who had it for several several years before I bought it.
