RARE! Vtg GEORGES BRIARD 1950s MCM Ceramic Silver SNAIL Stamped 9" x 5.25" x4.5"

Dimensions: approximately 9" long x 4.5" wide x 5.25" tall This large collectible vintage garden snail by Georges Briard is a rare find! Made of ceramic, it has wonderful details such a swirled shell that's alternates between being textured and smooth. The snail's body also has whimsical raised dots along it. The snail has eyes and a little mouth as well. It has a stunning glossy reflective silver finish. The bottom is stamped with Georges Briard's signature. This garden snail would be lovely sitting on shelves, a mantel or a table in a variety of decors, including Mid-Century Modern, Art Nouveau, Hollywood Regency, eclectic, maximalist, contemporary and nature, to name just a few. Condition: There is a scratch along the top of the shell but it's difficult to see unless the light hits it right. In order to capture it in a photo, I had to keep angling my phone to try to get my black case to reflect into the scratch. Otherwise, the scratch looks silver like the rest of the snail and is hard to spot. The underside of the snail also has some wear to it, as seen in the photos. Aside from that, this snail is in perfect condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or repairs. It's a very cool George Briard piece to add to anyone's collection. Crosslisted.
