RAW MIXED QUARTZ (HAND MINED HIGH GRADE AAA PIEZOELECTRIC QUALITY)

This is a mixed batch of raw piezoelectric rose quartz and yellow quartz crystals from the Nuevo Silica Quarry in Riverside County, hand-mined by me! This batch is 1.8 ounces, or 51 grams. These exquisite crystal fractals have been carefully collected from the earth and are fit to serve numerous purposes like rock tumbling, lapidary, individual display, or jewelry purposes. Located in a difficult area to access (on BLM land of course), the Nuevo Silica Mine is known for producing some of the highest-quality piezoelectric quartz crystals in the world. Each crystal in this batch has been hand-selected for its exceptional asterism, so these pieces aren't the clearest compared to other batches from our trip. Instead they feature stunning parallel inclusions. The Nuevo Silica Quarry fell into disuse when a synthetic for quartz was discovered, but prior to that it was a main producer in quartz material so naturally clear that it could be used for medical and electrical purposes. Asteriated quartz is rare worldwide, but common at the Nuevo Quarry! Today it's a fun five mile hike for rock enthusiasts who dare to make the trek! The piezoelectric properties of these crystals make them particularly special, as they are able to convert mechanical pressure and vibrations into electrical energy.
