eydie @newbirds ~~ I put up a couple more pics of the appliqués. They're very stiff backed fabric stitched with silver metallic thread. As you can see in pic 3 & 4, they're glued on. Hope this helps

eydie @sheal ~~ the ribbon could be removed but I don't know what it would look like underneath. I don't think I'd recommend it. The price is negotiable though if you're interested.
