ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL 1948 RARE CLASSIC BUBBLE-BACK CHRONOMETER ROSE GOLD AND STAINLESS. Keeps perfect time! This1948 ROLEX OYSTER PERPETUAL BUBBLE BACK WATCH belonged to my uncle. My grandfather purchased this watch for my uncle when they went on their family vacation after WWII during the summer of 1948 to Europe. It was purchased in Geneva Switzerland (where I spent my childhood) and was worn only by my uncle until I received the watch and started to wear it this last Spring. It keeps perfect time and is all-original. What makes this watch so special and rare is the distinct two-material design...stainless steel and rose gold.... in all my research I have not found another, nor seen one in any photos of Rolex watches. The watch is stainless steel with a rose gold bezel. The crown is rose gold and has engraved on it "Rolex Oyster". The case has stamped "602561". The crystal is the original acrylic. You will not find another Rolex so elegant but sporty and timeless in its design... both classic and contemporary.. Can be worn by a man or woman. This is a very rare watch.
