Pattern: Roman Gold Company: Royal China Era: pre-1940s 4-item set: four standard teacup saucers, identical in pattern with slight variations in floral handpainted centerpiece (teacup shown is NOT included...pictured only for illustrative purposes) 22 Karat gold encrusted porcelain with burgundy banding and floral hand-painted "French Decoration" Measure: 6" diameter. The known history is as follows: My grandparents purchased a house in Pacific Palisades in the early 1940s completely furnished by an interior decorator - they bought everything in the house, down to the linens, china, silverware, artwork, etc. This set was included and, as far as I know/remember, was rarely (if ever) used.
