RUBY Z ceramic snowman necklace, designed by Candace Loheed.

This RARE VINTAGE Ruby Z handcrafted ceramic necklace, featured design by Candace Loheed, includes a winter snowman decorated with a green scarf, black top hat, and a carrot nose. The unique chain was made in the 1980’s. All beads are ceramic with no chips or cracks. The beads consist of white tubes w/ antique crackle finish and green & red round/discs. Snowman in the middle measures approximately 2-3/4" length by 1-1/2" width. A white bead near the closure is marked 'Ruby Z' on one side & SIGNED by Candace Loheed on the other side. Necklace is 19-1/4" long Closure is a silver, barrel clasp. Very difficult to find this handcrafted/hand painted necklace for sale amongst other Ruby Z / Candace Loheed designs. ABOUT RUBY Z In 1975, in California, a group of artists, including Candace Loheed and Bean Finneran started a jewelry business called Parrot Pearls. Their trademark pieces were ceramic necklaces and pins made with bright, colorful beads in fanciful shapes like animals, bugs and flowers. In the 1980’s Parrot Pearls split off into Flying Colors and Ruby Z.
