RUNNING Rare Vintage Waltham 17 Jewels Cameo Pendant Watch Necklace

This incredibly unique and rare double-sided pendant cameo / watch is believed to have been made by longtime watchmaker Waltham Watch Company's Swiss subsidiary in the 1970s at the height of gold-rope-chain popularity and amid a resurgence of the cameo trend. Nevertheless, this super cool watch necklace gives big Victorian vibes and could very well have been found on any late 19th-century noble. When wound, the watch makes a faint, classic "tick tock" sound and keeps time well. Both the watch and cameo measure about 22mm wide and the length of the chain to the bottom of the watch case measures about 14.5". The cameo, watch case, face, crystal, hands and movement are in excellent condition. The gold-tone rope chain does show some signs of wear (especially around its dual spring clasps + a bit on parts of the chain); however overall, this wildly-uncommon piece is in lovely shape and will be well sported by its next trendsetter or collector.
