An accomplished watercolorist, Ralph Acosta is a member of the prestigious Salmagundi Club, The Hudson Valley Art Association, and various Long Island art leagues.
He began his art career painting portraits in oils. His interest in watercolors grew when he was introduced to and began to study with Edgar Whitney, renowned watercolor artist and teacher. Ralph developed his unique style while studying with Whitney at the National Art League in Douglaston, New York.
Ralph has been the recipient of many awards in the New York and New England areas. Of note: The Macowin Tuttle award (First Place) at the Salmagundi national member show in 1996 and the Hudson Valley Art Association A.E. Harless Memorial Award in 2000.
This recognized artist and teacher has exhibited at Salmagundi Club, National Art League, Hudson Valley Art Association, American Watercolor Society, American Artists Professional League, Hecksher Museum (Long Island, New York), The Fine Arts Museum of long Island, One Man Show at Bloomingdales (Long Island), and One Man Show at the American Indian Museum (Southhold, New York).
The viewable art is 9" x 6". The mat frame measures 14" x 11".
