From the inside-out photo of the seat, it appears that the seat tore and there was a repair with tape, but your description doesn't reference this. Am I misinterpreting?

@tommysposh Hi there, I suppose that’s possible but it doesn’t look like there was ever a tear, it just looks reinforced. It was like that when I purchased them.
