Ralph Lauren cropped wide leg loose spring pants sz 8

these cute short wide leg pants are great for spring. I wore them only once. the the width of the cuff is almost 10 in. the rise is 21 inches. I'm confused because the tag says size 8 but the waist measures 14 inches across so please look at the measurement because I wear a size 4but I can't fit into these. so 14 inch across at the waist. not a pure bright white a subtle white almost like an off-white but not quite. I am going to list these as a 4 because there is no way I could fit into these even though the tag says 8.
