🌺Rare Antique Enamel Trinket Box

Here is a unique and gorgeous handmade enamel on metal lidded trinket box. Purchased at an estate sale, this is one of those rare pieces you come across every once in awhile that you feel lucky to find. This enamel design is flowers on white /off white on copper on top of brass. Since true enamel only works with sterling and copper, this box has a brass base, but then a layer of copper, then enamel. Quite the undertaking. The layer of enamel is thick and the design unique, with some areas of glimmer.in select areas. The inside is a beautiful turquoise blue. There is an area where the enamel is missing and you see the copper underneath (shown in photos). But it is minor and doesn’t take away from the beauty of the piece. Measures just over 3” in diameter. If you like old, unique pieces, this is for you! To keep shipping cost down, it will be shipped in bubble wrap and envelope, versus a box.
