Rare Antique Victorian Mourning Vulcanite Bacchante Cameo Wide Cuff Bracelet

This is a beautiful collectible Victorian era cameo mourning bracelet made of Vulcanite, an early plastic. The cameo depicts a Bacchante, a female follower of the Roman god Bacchus. The Vulcanite has lost the majority of its original black color and has largely turned medium brown. The cameo has become accented with dark brown, and the cuff does have a lot of spotting. One the inside, there is an old sticker left, and the cameo could use a better cleaning than what I managed to do. Additionally, the plastic has become fragile and is not malleable. Overall, the piece is still in relatively good shape for being well over 120 years old. Due to the fragility, I do not recommend trying to wear this piece.
