Rare, first edition, Pleasant Company Josephina Montoya American Girl doll.  Josephina Montoya is the 6th American Girl Doll to be released by the Pleasant Company. She is the first to have the Josephina face mold and to have feathered eyebrows. He hoops are second, only to Addy Walker. She is an iconic member of the stellar brand. This Josephina doll was purchased in 1997 as a first release. She is stamped with Pleasant Company branding on the back of her neck and her beautiful tan body is in mint condition. Her head is attached with strings and she can stand and sit without assistance. She comes with her iconic gold hoop earrings and her braided wig includes a bow and flower.  This Josephina comes in her complete meet outfit with 1997 Pleasant Company tags. Her outfit includes her original moccasins, undergarments and blue wrap. This doll was purchased for me as a child and was loved and played with, however, she has been cleaned, restored and packaged for sale. Josephina is part of a vast collection.
