Gérard PUVIS is a French artist who creates beautiful sculptures made out of the foil capsules from famous French wineries. He then works with a special printer to create art-quality lithographs. What's unusual (and takes a special production process) is that the images are raised so you can feel the image if you touch it! There is only one other place to buy these lithographs in the U.S. and they charge $155 per lithograph. I'm charging much less because I'm moving and I need to move these (I kept one for myself ;-). These lithographs are on the walls of many of France's best restaurants! This one features capsule foil from the most famous Chateaux of Bordeaux and Burgundy, including Chateau Latour and Petrus. We see a man holding up a grape vine full of grapes, and he appears to be conducting all of these famous estates like a conductor leads an orchestra. It's a stunning image, one of Puvis' greatest. A wonderful gift for a birthday, anniversary, or for any lover of great wines and beautiful, unusual, unique art!
