You will love this rare vintage 1970s 100% cotton child's Greenpeace "Indigenous Peoples" Collector's item tee shirt - Size kid's Medium
Greenpeace Canada website says: The pattern is the Sitsiutl symbol (a legendary creature found in many cultures of the Indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast) and has been part of the Greenpeace visual identity since Greenpeace’s first voyage, when the original symbol was gifted to the crew to encourage them to continue their journey. As a testament to the importance of this gift, the cultural pattern was taken and over the decades “adapted” from the original form.
This tee is in soft vintage condition with two tiny stains on the back near the hem which are not really noticeable.
The measurements are:
across shoulders = 13 1/2"
back of neck to hem = 18"
front of neck to hem = 16
across chest armpit-armpit = 15"
This teeshirt seems to be one of a kind since there is nothing to be found on the internet like this striking and beautiful Greenpeace Native American design. It's a rare, tee shirt that got plenty of wear and enjoyment back in the 1970s when my daughter wore it! It it truly a collector's item!
