Hammersley & Co made this saucer featuring scenes from "Gulliver’s Travels", the satire by Jonathan Swift. This saucer depicts Gulliver bringing in the fleet. Lots of vibrant color and details on the fleet of ships and characters are on the saucer. It has gold on the rim. This saucer dates from 1912-1939. Very good condition having no cracks, stains, and no gold loss. Made in Longton, Stoke on Trent, England, by Hammersley and Company, manufacturers of high quality bone china tea and tableware from 1887 until the company was sold to Spode in 1966.
