Rare SUN SURF Hawaiian Aloha Shirt – Inspired by 1940’s “Hawaiian Chant Hula”

This original reproduction of a 1940’s print by Sun Surf is an “Authentic Hawaiian Prints Textiles by Sugar Cane” as shown on the shirt’s selvage. This all-over Hawaiian motif design of hula dancers, outriggers, surfers, is styled after the famous 1940s “Hawaiian Chant Hula” rayon fabric yardage used to create high quality aloha shirts of the era. In fact, this iconic print design is featured on page 112 of Nancy Shiffer’s book Hawaiian Shirt Designs regarding “Hawaiian Motifs” (see photo). The colors and designs on the aloha shirt are clear and vibrant and shows no signs of wear. This clean 100% rayon shirt is in great condition and has fine details which includes 5 different colors and traditional wording. There are 5 polished wood buttons, coordinating fabric collar button loop and left front pocket. There is no size tag but the measurements provided in the photo show that it is a Large (L).
