Rare! Vintage Blue Jade Jadeite Cabachon Bolo Slide 950 Silver Mexico Modernist Stone tests to Jadeite multiple times. I have read several articles about Guatamalan Jade & looked at hundreds of photos of Blue Jadeite, Larimar, Denim Lapis, & Angelite (and all the other Blue stones including natural saphire with inclusions) and I'm about 90% sure this is the most beautifully turned piece of Jadeite I have had the pleasure of touching or seeing. Even though I don't wear Bolo ties, I will keep if it doesn't sell due to its beauty and rarity. I have a white Vintage White Jade Necklace & it feels the same & has the same temperature. Metal is 950 Silver & the back is stamped 950 Mexico. The little smudge near the stamp is remnants of a sticker. The silver is definitely a white silver. Modernist lines that are clean & contemporary. Would also be an amazing Enhancer for a large width Choker or Collar. Would most likely hang oddly on a long necklace without help of some kind. Could be threaded on a lariat then knotted just below. Interesting idea. I research all stones to the best of my ability & while I have been a rock hound my whole life & go to Gem Faires regularly as well as have a few friends in the Industry, stones can be difficult to pin down at times & are tricky. The style of this piece, silver content & obvious nod to a Mid Century Modern aesthetic even more back up Blue Jadeite.
