Stunning 1960’s vintage Harvey Berin by Karen Stark, Sacks Fifth Avenue gold brocade cocktail dress, size 14 on the tag (vintage sizing runs smaller than modern). Manufacturing tags still attached as per photos. Length: 42" Laying flat: waist 14", pit to pit 19" This extremely rare dress is in stunning condition. Very gently worn, non-smoking home. Boat neckline, belted waist, bust darts, pleats at the waist and a back zip with hook and eye at the top. Dress is in excellent vintage condition and ready to wear! His designer was Karen Stark, who was the sister of Berin’s wife, Augusta. Stark adapted the latest styles from Paris each season. And even though Stark did the designing, Berin approved or rejected each design. They were best known for their feminine dresses and ensembles. Berin was a favorite of several First Ladies, including Pat Nixon and Ladybird Johnson. The pair won a Coty Award in 1952.
