sparklechick1 @marshmnd you'll have to show mw a pic! If you look at the "Not for sale" grouping you sent me back when, the colors I really want are in the 1st and 4th pics, in the geode pattern, yes!@!@!@

sparklechick1 @marshmnd sorry, loooooooong day. First day of class, police activity blocking roads and snarling traffic near campus, fire engines active on campus, though no sirens or lights, internet went down 2 hours before I got there, never came back on, and power went out halfway through class and we were all sitting in the dark. So, at that point, class done, and I am now home drinking margaritas.

sparklechick1 @marshmnd I definitely want an ice dyed geode XL comfort colors shirt in the blues, greens & purples. I think I want a heart shirt in reds, pinks & purples / magentas. And I want the one you sent an offer on, or something like it, if someone buys that one. I want to get them all together, rather than 1at a time.

marshmnd @sparklechick1 you are amazing! 100 lbs!I I I know u like CC but pls try the super soft all cotton A New Day shirt. They wash so well, are loose fitting and softer than CC. I’ll post the one I made today— the shirt would be less expensive because the cost is less, too. But if you have your heart set on CC , you’ve got it!! The other geode you “liked” is CC -and if you want it, it’s yours, I’ll give you a very good price. Btw, the one I made today was hearts ❤️. In blues, greens and purples😉

marshmnd Oh, and btw? Enjoy those margaritas. It sounds like today was a tough one. I always hated when summer was “over”. Here in florida, school starts early too but summer goes in and on… I retired 8 yrs ago…

sparklechick1 @marshmnd We have a program here where students can get their textbooks all on/by "Day 1" of class through the bookstore as e-books-- cheaper, all arriving at once -- called "Day 1" -- but it became a running joke today in class since it was the first day of the semester, & everything was going wrong. Since the internet was down, I couldn't pull up my slides or syllabus thru the classroom computer, so tried to hook up my laptop, that wasn't working, then everything else happened.

sparklechick1 @marshmnd I really want comfort colors. I willing to try the one you already made, if it's not sold by the time you make the others, but I want the new ones to be CC. I'd rather pay more for better. And yes, I AM enjoying the margaritas. And watching--ON EVERY CHANNEL--the Trump indictment grand jury circus here in GA.Basically it's been handed in, but the paper work has to be filed, which apparently takes 1-3 hours, so the newspeople are all scrambling for stuff to talk about to fill time.

marshmnd @sparklechick1 lol. Btw. How did you lose your weight? I’m trying to— a former tennis player(like, 24/7!!) I have multiple back probs, made worse by later in life poundage. I can’t do what I used to!! And I like my wine😉
Aug 15Reply
sparklechick1
sparklechick1 @marshmnd You'll have to show me the hearts in blues, greens & purples--maybe you can change my mind :-)
Aug 15Reply
marshmnd
marshmnd Btw. No prob for the CC; they are on order. No more news for me. I’m done. 😱😱😱
Aug 15Reply
sparklechick1
sparklechick1 @marshmnd No, I'm kidding, obviously. I had to have a hip replacement -- family thing, my brother, 5 years younger, foot taller, athletic, runs marathons, teaches yoga for fun, got his (same one) a month before me, several states away -- & the surgeon wanted me to lost 20 lbs. So I talked to my doctor, she put me on a few meds (one FDA controlled that was basically appetite suppressant, another was anti-depressant / mood leveler to prevent binging, and a 3rd to curb sugar cravings), and...

sparklechick1 @marshmnd I joined a gym, got a trainer who specialized in injuries & surgery recovery, though I was prepping for surgery, it was similar, did a lot of water aerobics & careful muscle work (hurt like a mother), and ate better. Lost 40+ before the surgery, & another 10 after, then Covid. Blah. No more gym. Gained some back (no more FDA drug, too), but last year in April went back to doc & did a reset, started the whole thing over, lost everything I'd regained plus another 10 or more, then....

sparklechick1 @marshmnd in October my doc added Mounjaro, and holy cow, that stuff works!!!!! I am Type 2, so it is for medical reasons, but the benefits were a definite positive. Lost another 40 pretty rapidly, then everything leveled off, and I've lost the last 10 (which puts it over the 100) slowly over the last couple months. It bounces around, but is steadily decreasing. Right now, no FDA drug (no longer high enough BMI to qualify, oh darn), but keeping the sugar craving suppressant & mood leveler.

sparklechick1
sparklechick1 @marshmnd Probably more info than you wanted, but the point is that it did take a lot of time (technically 4 years & counting), the hip surgery was a game changer (being infinitely mobile again, after basically being to the point of using a cane, having the handicap sticker in my car, & having to sit down & rest after walking every 50 feet because of the pain), & the life style change was a huge part of it too. The drugs help, yes, but didn't do everything.

sparklechick1 @marshmnd I have the news mostly on mute. I just catch little snippets, & change channels to see what the others are tap-dancing about. There's some "independent journalist" who was SUPPOSED to testify today, but was't called in, so basically hung around all day, & now they keep asking him about his experience of NOT testifying. And they keep showing a clip of the judge handing off a pile of paperwork to some lady. Literally news about nothing.

marshmnd @sparklechick1 what a journey. My daughter is 5”8” and is about 100 pounds overweight. Now, I mean: she just lost 60 which was pretty much all of her Covid weight. She is the only person in the world who has Crohn’s disease, and is obese. I feel so bad for her.
Aug 15Reply
marshmnd
marshmnd She's had Covid 4 times by the way. When you have an auto immune disease, nothing seems to work in the way of vaccines, although the paxlovid helped her the second time, and she was given those monoclonal antibody infusions the first time. Both of those worked very quickly and she went back to school immediately. Also a teacher.😉

marshmnd
marshmnd I wonder if your drug would work for her – she’s in pain all the time! Back, knees, – you get the idea. And she’s always been able to exercise but not now. Anyway, thanks for your information and I appreciate it. I have a big order of CCA shirts coming in on the 17th. But I’ll still show you tomorrow’s😉💕
Aug 15Reply
sparklechick1
sparklechick1 @marshmnd Would her insurance cover a semaglutide medication like Mounjaro or Wegovy? Funnily enough, one of the side effects can be constipation (I can't believe we're talking about this on Poshmark, I'm blaming the margaritas, at least on my end), which may help with her Crohn's.
Aug 15Reply

marshmnd @sparklechick1 lol. Crohns is a curse. It’s hereditary -(My brother has it too). But that’s interesting… the “perks” 🤣🤣🤣I’ll check. ( she prob knows; I think she’s mentioned the other drug ,you wrote of .. but thanks!) Have a good night — really interesting chatting with you💕💕
Aug 15Reply
sparklechick1
sparklechick1 @marshmnd you too. And if her doctor gives her a choice of drugs, tell her to pick Mounjaro over Wegovy-- testing has shown people lose more weight on Mounjaro than on Wegovy. Speaking of perks.

marshmnd @sparklechick1 good morning Susan! My CC order is coming tomorrow— but in the meantime, I did list my new heart shirt. I love how it came out!!! Thanks for the inspiration💜💜💜 Stay healthy, Meg
Aug 16Reply
sparklechick1
sparklechick1 @marshmnd good morning! Saw the heart shirt— very pretty! Love the colors! But I still want the pinks, reds, etc. for me. Maybe it’s because this conversation is attached to the red geode shirt above, and so I keep seeing that one and imagining it with more pink and purple mixed in, and heart shapes….
Aug 16Reply
marshmnd
marshmnd @sparklechick1 not a problem. My CC order came in today so I have all these xl whites just “dyeing” to be done!! I’ll probably be working on them tomorrow so hearts will be first🥰🥰Have a good night!
Aug 17Reply
sparklechick1
sparklechick1 @marshmnd Great! For “my” heart t-shirt, can you make it more like an iced geode shirt? I mean rather than a heart in the center chest, I want multiple hearts, like the raspberry geode shirt above. I’m thinking 1 heart over the left chest, 1 on the right sleeve (like above—I like that look!) & 1 on the right waist/hip area? Then something on the back? All in lovely pinks, reds, purples, magentas… and maybe a surprise color. I like how the white & blue offset the reds above. ❤️🩷💜
Aug 17Reply
marshmnd
marshmnd @sparklechick1 I will try. Hearts are not easy when they are smaller but I can figure it out: I’m up for the challenge!,
Aug 17Reply
sparklechick1
sparklechick1 @marshmnd I have faith. Pretend they are ❤️ shaped geodes….
Aug 17Reply
sparklechick1
sparklechick1 @marshmnd oh, hey, BTW, made it through a full class today without a power outage, internet outage, emergency vehicles racing by, or any natural disasters occurring like typhoons or hailstorms. The students didn’t have Wi-Fi, but the classroom desktop was connected so at least I could pull up my slides and show the videos I had planned. Still drinking margaritas tonight, though. Just in case.
Aug 17Reply
marshmnd
marshmnd @sparklechick1 lol. Just spent the last 20 min with my online tie dye group : multi hearts aren’t done for a reason. A heart needs to be folded in half, then followed around in a line and then tied with sinew. If you see the pink ice dyed shirt(dress) I made, you’ll see how the lines follow around each other — the key words are Folded in half 🤓
Aug 17Reply
marshmnd
marshmnd So I need to fold on half the fabric.. I will try two hearts, but you see how geodes “follow” around in circles? Hearts need to do the same. A free floating pattern doesn’t need to follow the rules; geodes can do their own thing, so to speak. But hearts have to follow specific patterns. As they get bigger, their lines may trespass on others’…as I said, I will accept this challenge..🙏🏻
Aug 17Reply
marshmnd
marshmnd But ice dyed hearts are like human hearts: easily broken, sometimes hard to fix!♥️♥️😜😜
Aug 17Reply
sparklechick1
sparklechick1 @marshmnd as I said—I have faith! I guess I don’t see anything wrong with lines trespassing on others? I think that would be a cool -looking effect, like ripples intersecting in water from stones thrown into different spots. But I’m thinking of the end look, you’re thinking of process, and it’s probably a process thing.. let’s see what happens. Maybe you’ll create a cool new look! 💗💓💞💕❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥
